Banzhou Electric displayed the world's first electrified Baja Beetle at Goodwood Members' Meeting over the weekend of 9 April 2022. The petrol engine, fuel tank, gear box, and all related components were removed and replaced with an electric system, including Tesla battery packs and a direct drive Tesla motor by Type2 Detectives and Electric Classic Cars.

Start-up Banzhou Electric are still finding their brand identity - their logo is in a state of flux - and so we created the following temporary logo.

For this publicity stunt, the car was painted and signed by graffiti artist Mr Penfold in a 1980s throwback, in-your-face style.

Parasola designed an A4 information board which referenced Mr Penfold's graphic style. Cairn Agency reworked the design, adding a cream background and designing business cards.
